Back-to-School Math Coaching · Grades 6–9
Two weeks of coaching now, so they walk in on the first day knowing they can do it.
Claim a community-sponsored seat free — or pay $60 and sponsor another student.
A focused two-week program
Designed for students entering grades 6–9 who want to begin the school year with stronger skills and more confidence.
What it is
Designed with Phil Daro, a co-author of the Common Core math standards.
About 30 workshops for the grade they’re entering — the essential knowledge for the year ahead, not every topic in the book.
It asks the questions a good teacher would, and works through the thinking with your child until it clicks.
Coaching any time they need it, and a live teacher every Wednesday night.
How it works

“It makes me feel like I have a friend
on my side.”

No payment, no commitment.
Live weekly parent & student office hours
A live weekly session with a real educator — not a chatbot. Bring a question, review your child’s progress, leave with something to try at the kitchen table.
Hosted by Paul Conley, PhD — VP of Education and a classroom teacher.
Included with every seat
Every family gets Math Night — free seat or paid. We send the Zoom link to the email you register with, and again each Wednesday morning.

Pay it Forward
A Bellevue parent believed that — not only for the families who can afford private tutoring. So he sponsored community scholarships for 200 families.
That act became a Pay-It-Forward movement to make high-quality math coaching accessible to more students.
For every parent who pays for a seat, StarCoach sponsors a free seat for a family who needs one.
Choose a program
Each program reviews last year’s essential math in about 30 workshops. Each workshop takes 30–45 minutes. Most students cover the essentials in about two weeks. Access runs through September 30.
Pick a program, then choose how to join: pay it forward for $60 — and StarCoach sponsors a free seat for a family who needs one — or claim a community scholarship.
